Das australische Queenslandmuseum hat gut zwanzig (in Zahlen: 21) alte Fotos Wikimedia Commons zur Verfügung gestellt:

"This image has been digitised by the Queensland Museum, and provided to the Wikimedia Commons as part of a cooperation project. The original image is in the public domain, but the Queensland Museum asserts copyright over the digitisation process, and has released this portion of the work under CC-BY-SA-3.0"

Selbstverständlich entsteht auch nach australischem Recht bei der Digitalisierung von Public-Domain-Fotos kein neues Schutzrecht. Es handelt sich also um lupenreines Copyfraud.
