ACCESS TO ARCHIVES IN CHINA
Until recently, archives in China were
largely confidential, with even the archivists
themselves having restricted access.
However, the archives in Guangzhou,
the capital of South China’s Guangdong
Province, will soon be publicly accessible.
The city is the first to make nearly all official
archives available and is constructing a
new building, hoped to be completed by
late May.
