Although the core collection is a good representation of the history of the management of property and land in the UK there are some books which are no longer relevant to the profession e.g. First edition of Dr Johnson’s dictionary plus topography books.
We also have duplicate copies of some of the surveying titles. It is therefore planned to focus the collection by selling the non-relevant texts and duplicate copies to fund a project to conserve and catalogue the collection and make it available online.
There will be an auction of these surplus items held by Bloomsbury Book Auctions, the major international book auctioneers with offices in London, New York and Rome, on 20 October 2011 at 24 Maddox Street, London W1S 1PP
