Diese Bibliothek, die den Archives départementales des Hauts-de-Seine untersteht, ist aus der Schenkung von 55.000 Büchern durch einen Privatsammler hervorgegangen. Der Webauftritt ist schick, die Tagwolke außerordentlich nützlich und die Farbdigitalisate in den großen PDFs machen Freude. Es gibt unter anderem über 50 Inkunabeln sowie einen deutschsprachigen Dürer-Druck aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.

"André Desguine (1902-1981), directeur de l'École des travaux publics de Cachan de 1942 à 1972, homme de grande culture, acquit au cours de sa vie 52 000 volumes, en digne successeur des grands humanistes. Son nom ne figure sur aucun de ses livres : il les considérait comme appartenant à l'humanité, leur possession n'étant que provisoire.

En 1983, selon le voeu de son mari, madame André Desguine fit don de la bibliothèque au département des Hauts-de-Seine, afin d'éviter sa dispersion. La bibliothèque fut confiée aux Archives départementales, seule institution départementale pouvant accueillir un fonds de cette ampleur et en garantir les conditions de conservation et de communication."

Laut einer Nachfrage bei der Staatsbibliothek, Betreff einiger fehlerhafter Scans welche bei Google bzw. in der digitalen Bibliothek der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek vorhanden sind, erhielt eine Kollegin folgende Antwort.

Die genannten Ausgaben wurden im Rahmen der Kooperation mit der Firma Google digitalisiert.
Die Bayerische Staatsbibliothek hat in diesen Faellen keinen Einfluss auf die Qualitaet der Digitalisate. Die gelieferten Scans (es werden voraussichtlich ueber eine Million Titel gescannt) einer umfassenden Qualitaetskontrolle zu unterziehen, ist aufgrund des begrenzten Personals leider nicht durchfuehrbar.
Eingehenden Meldungen wie von Ihrer Seite wird jedoch nachgegangen.
Leider muss ich Sie aber auch um Verstaendnis bitten, dass sich im konkreten Fall derzeit noch keine terminliche Aussage bezueglich einer Korrektur der Digitalisate machen laesst.
